Drapery

The drawing below is from Wednesday night’s life drawing, it was the last and I think most successful of the night’s sketches.

It’s definitely more direct than my usual life drawing approach - working in pen tends to have that effect - no initial prep work. I was focussed on searching out the shapes made by the cloth and the foreshortened body and pushing them into a more or less interesting composition on the page.
