Vespa
Here’s an oil painting study of a Vespa model finished yesterday. Though there’s a lot in it that fell short of my intentions, this is the first study in a while where I’ve had some great AHA! moments and learned more about edges, colour mixing, brushwork and values, so in that sense I feel it was a success. In any event it was fun to do, that little vespa’s such a interesting and appealing still life subject :)
